Will there be any concerted effort from supporters of the Unit 4 referendum to rebut any campus town apartment owners who will probably target college students to vote no?  NG article from a few weeks ago regarding increases in tax assesments.  It was kind of buried in the article but the gist was that apartment owners would object to the Unit 4 rerferendum since their property tax assessments had been more than doubled.  College students along with the standard "no new tax" crowd could kill the referendum unless college students are informed of the necessity of the referendum for the good of the CU community.  My daughter is in A E Phi which was specifically mentioned in the article - she WILL be voting for the referendum.

I have just learned that my posting has caused a misinterpretation when I thought that I was positing a theoretical question. For clarification, I have stated publicly in an early N-G article and just last night during a radio interview that both the Unit 4 referendum and the County Board quarter cent referendum ought to be supported. I have consistently stated that these referendum are not in competition and serve entirely different purposes..

I certainly apologize for the consternation that I have unintentionally caused.

Amen, Pattsi!

Getting good at investing in our people and shielding them from mandates so they can do what they do best is likely to generate much greater returns than any investments we can make in facilities.

If you think the video is on the mark, then my question is why support so much money for buildings and not for salaries? I agree the video is well done.

That is excellent, Charles! Thank you for sharing.

Hopefully he is sharing with his friends and teachers and encouraging them to share with their friends and teachers. A student lead movement would be awesome!

While mentoring a high school senior, he told me about a "really cool" video he watched. When I got home, I google and watched it. I think most of you would agree with the main idea - it is very similar to "Most likely to succeed", but in a spoken word format.
