That’s a great book. 

I also recommend Cecelia Tichi’s Civic Passions: Seven Who Launched Progressive America (and What They Teach Us. It’s about seven great reformers of the earlier gilded age (1890s). She wonders at the end whether we can find similar leaders for our current gilded age.
