Greetings!

Thanks to the 750 Friends of WILL who contributed more than $130,000 for the WILL-TV and WILL Radio fund drives. We finished just $5,000 short of our TV goal and fulfilled our radio goal in the last hour of the 36-hour campaign. What great December gifts!

This year's favorite music
Speaking of gifts, NPR Music made you a really long mixtape. So put on your headphones and listen to more than 300 of their favorite songs from 2014.

Calling all teachers

January Patterns is online

So this issue's biggest news might be the start of
Downton Abbey's season 5 (8 pm Sunday, Jan. 4, WILL-TV), but there's much more, including Manners of Downton Abbey: A Masterpiece Special, featuring insight from the show's historical advisor, Alastair Bruce, at 9:15 pm Jan. 4.
Exploring innovation in many forms
At 10 am Friday, Dec. 19, on WILL-AM, Innovation Hub looks at how technology is changing travel, family gatherings, food and more. And next week (Dec. 26), the show explores the research, industries and gadgets that are changing our world. Learn more about the program, produced by WGBH.
