Thanks Lisa, I would love to attend, but I am stretched too thin right now.  Best of luck!

Subject: Teen Design Lab??

The Grad students on the DCEO grant and some of us staff just attended Ann Bishop's talk/discussion about the InfoMe project and Teen Design Days.  She's going to be in town for about 3 weeks and offered to do a Train the Trainer workshop for us.  Although we may not choose to have the same topic/content focus of the InfoMe (Information Mediaries) project, I think all of your sites could run a very interesting/engaging Teen Design Lab either during after school hours or for a longer time on the weekend.  If you have 5 minutes I think the video gives a great overview: vimeo.com/61780663.  The website for the InfoMe project is infome.uw.edu

So I'm wondering if there might be interest from our partners at CPL, TUFL, UNCC, TapIn, and Kenwood to get together for a workshop while Ann is in town?  We could hold it at one of the libraries....it could be about 3 hours.

If we can't do it in the next 3 weeks but there is interest, we could ask Ann to schedule some time next time she is in town (which is 2-3 times a year).  Or the grad students and some staff could do the workshop now and then try to implement it at the sites later in the year.

Please let me know asap if you are interested and if so, what kind of availability you have in the next couple weeks.

Thanks!
Lisa
