Hi All,

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday: please feel free to bring whatever campaign/informational materials you'd like. We'll have a space set aside for that.

See you all soon!

Caleb

Hi All,

Tomorrow is the day! In light of that, I thought I'd reach out and give you all a few details.

  1. We expect people to start arriving right at 5 p.m. If you could do your best to be there between 4:45 and 5 I'd be much obliged. If you know you'll be there after 5, please let me know at your earliest convenience.
  2. When the forum begins, you'll be seated at a table in the front of the room, and lined up in alphabetical order. When we start, right at 5:30, Cathy Mannen and Steve Pease will address the audience. You'll then be given a minute to briefly introduce yourself.
  3. Once everyone has introduced themselves, Greg Stock will ask the first question. We've planned for a total of five questions. You will have a minute to respond to each. Our timekeeper will signal you when you have 10 seconds remaining and once your time has expired.
  4. Due to some facility-related constraints, you will not be mic'd up, so in addition to being concise, we'll also ask you to come ready to project your voice.
  5. After our five questions, we will open the floor for members to ask questions. Greg will facilitate that process.
That about sums up the important details, but please let me know if you have any questions. If those questions happen to be last minute, please don't hesitate to call me at 217-493-9257. Beyond that, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow at the IBEW 601 Hall.

Sincerely,
Caleb

Hi All,

We're set for Tuesday March 31st at the IBEW 601 Hall in Champaign. The forum will begin in earnest at 5:30, but we've scheduled a brief reception at 5:00 p.m. so that you'll have the opportunity to get to know some of our members.

With respect to the forum itself, Greg Stock, who is a veteran teacher, steward and former CFT Vice President, will moderate. We'll have quite a few candidates in attendance and would like to get our members home to their families starting right at 7, so Greg will keep things moving. Towards the end of the forum, we'll have a quick Q&A session. For your part, please come prepared to be concise.

I'm attaching a promotional flier that we're currently circulating with our members and the public. Feel free to share as you see fit. We'll also be circulating a press release this week, so we expect some local media coverage leading up to, and at the event itself.

In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions. We're looking forward to seeing you on the 31st.

All best,
Caleb
