Social discussion of CS in K-12

Dear Shifters,

 

Let’s try something different this week. Instead of the Tuesday night at the Blind Pig, let’s meet on Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM at the Panera Bread Company on Kirby & Mattis. This is close to Kenwood on Kirby, so I’m hoping it will be easy for the Kenwood folks to drop by. Also, having a morning meeting will perhaps bring us a different part of our growing group.

 

Another note on that growth. In the coming week I would like to cull the list down to those who really want to be on it.
By “really want to be on it,” I mean that it’s not spam for you. You don’t have to go to the gatherings or post to the list. I just don’t want to be burdening your inbox if you’re tired of getting the email. So, I’ll send out a message with a link asking you to go to a Google form, type your name and email and hit a button to confirm that you really still want to get these and other CTRL-Shift messages. It’s still an open group. Anyone can be part, but I suspect that a dozen or so of the 72 people on our list are probably not interested, and I want lessen their email.

 

So. No meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) night. Yes to Panera on Kirby at 7 AM on Wednesday morning.

I’ll send a reminder tomorrow.
