Figures!

The one time I will not be able to make it when Charles comes :(
However, glad that you can make it Charles! :)

I am a panelist at Junior League tonight at 7pm in Urbana. So, I am afraid I will miss everyone.

Look forward to catching up though afterward!

Sincerely,

Kerris

I am making plans to drop by tonight as well (woot woo!).

1. I chatted with the Director of Assessments at ISBE this morning and we had a wonderful conversation about PARCC (among other things). Hoping to spur some awesome conversation tonight. :)

2. George, I found the website for "Good morning Mission Hill", but they only have a public free trailer. Is there a local source from which we can borrow the full video?

So much awesome going on.... very exciting to be involved. :)

Shifters,

Happy new semester. I will be at the Blind Pig tonight at 6:30.
I have a small agenda.

1.       Lots of discussion about the PARCC and testnav on our list that I would like to get people’s feeling on. I’m still catching up with Charles’ posts myself.

2.       I would like to talk about a video I have been pondering called “Good Morning Mission Hill”. As Kenwood is thinking about its identity as a model/laboratory/experimental school, I think the democratic model is one the fits the vision I’m hearing emerge. So, what next?

3.       3-5th grade computational thinking and mathematics. I’m going to spend some time today pondering what might be the right curricular connections. I’ll confer with the CS4h group. Others are also reaching out. Let’s put our heads together on this.

For those who can make it, see you this evening.

-George
