Dear CSpiggers,

I have on my calendar that the Piggers group is going to meet at MSTE at 3
PM tomorrow (Monday). We'll be in the upstairs classroom, Room 201, at 505
East Green St.

There are at least two agenda items:

1. IF you've had a chance to look over the Cross-campus Extension RFP, we
can talk more about that. I'm meeting with Lenny on Tuesday morning, and a
proposal will be our main agenda item. The RFP is attached.

2. If you have a chance, look over the I^3 RFP that Maya mentioned after
returning from Washington, DC. It's here:
http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-03-14/pdf/2014-05706.pdf
I've printed it out and it is anything but a quick read, but we can go
through it a bit together.

For those who can make it, see you tomorrow at 3 PM at MSTE.
Notes from Thursday's meeting are below.

LAST THURSDAY'S BUSINESS MEETING AT M2
I have notes from last Thursday's (3/20/14) business meeting on a google
doc. Let me know and I will share it with you, otherwise, here are the main
topics discussed:
1. Mike Royse told us about the National Great Rivers Research and Education
Center (NGRREC)'s interest in STEM.
2. I talked a bit about what I knew of the Cross-campus Outreach Initiative
3. Lisa Bievenue was there (Welcome Lisa!) and talked a bit about her
thinking with Bruce Litchfield regarding a Community Impact Center.
4. Maya Israel updated us on her trip to Washington, DC where she met with
program officers from NSF, learned about the Office of Core Research, and
spoke with Lewis-Burke Associates. We had some discussion about SBIR
proposals. Maya is speaking with another program officer (Janice Cuny)
tomorrow (Monday).
5. Kerris Lee has reached out to Rodney Davis' office. They are perhaps
interested in STEM and even taking a mentor and student to Washington, DC.
Perhaps our group could become part of a policy team.
