Enclosed is a PDF version of the Constructing Modern Knowledge 2014 registration brochure. It’s hard to believe, but CMK 2014 is our 7th annual institute. 2013’s event was spectacular and this year promises to even better. Of course we will have a mountain of books, software, tools, and cutting edge materials available for use in your projects. Once again, we will visit the MIT Media Lab.

 

In addition to our amazing faculty, this year’s guest speakers include: 

• Leading play, learning and design scholar Dr. Edith Ackermann
• The world’s preeminent treehouse designer and star of TV’s Treehouse Masters, Pete Nelson
• One of the "World’s 10 Smartest Kids" according to Make Magazine, electronics expert Joey Hudy
• Scratch creator and Director of the MIT Media Lab’s Lfielong Kindergarten Group, Professor Mitchel Resnick

Congratulations to Dr. Marvin Minsky, host of our annual fireside chat, for winning the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award ! This award, second only to the Nobel Prize comes with a $540,000 prize. We sure hope Marvin will be able to join us for a 7th time at CMK 2014, July 8-11, 2014.
